Have you noticed how we are not able to write reviews on their website? Because they will fool everyone with their own reviews. Bad quality hair and the worse customer service ever. If you return the product they will charge fees. Be aware!

I am extremely unsatisfied with the quality and customer service of zala hair.

I washed the hair once with extension shampoo and conditioner. And felt like the ends had been burnt. When I use my hair straightener on 100 it could smell burning. I've been hairdressing 15 and never come across extensions that do this besides synthetic hair?
So I approached zala to let them know of the poor hair quality, as it could just be the batch of hair. I've had extension from zala before with no drama until this batch.

During my complaint process I was asked a series of questions. One asking me for batch date. I had a look at the batch tag and
Has manufactured 2017!

I was advised by zala that they do not stock or make champagne extension in wefts on the 6th April 2020 ( proof by screenshot)

When they advertise wefts in champagne a few months ago make a purchase for champagne blonde.

So the hair they sent me was manufactured in 2017 when champagne blonde was not even made!

Long story short they sent me any blonde tone from 2017 batch which was poor quality and felt synthetic and looked burnt

The outcome that zala hair gave me was a 50% off for another Purchase

Should they give me my money back for faulty product?

For new batch or correct tone?

They also tried to lie and say it was the one even if they didn't manufacture that tone in 2017 on this year 2020?

Please be advised that if you want to speak to someone from zala they do no not a phone number

Not 100% HUMAN HAIR!

Worst hair I have ever gotten
Worst hair I have ever gotten. I have been wearing extensions for years. I spend a lot of money because i do promotional/modeling. I bought the tape ins and they haven't even been in longer then 4 weeks and they are tangling, nappy and dry. I wrote customer care and they said Purchase our shampoo and conditioner... ya Already have it. And the revive spray, and hair mask. So basically ZALAS response was sorry u spent over 300$ on crappy hair please spend more on product to make it look a little better... I'm so angry! I know how to care for my hair. I don't use any heat on it. I braid it at night and wear a silk scarf to bed. I even told them i don't want a refund. I just want New hair, since this is obviously old, crap hair
They sent me.

And be careful, have u noticed all the GOOD reviews are for the stupid pony tails. DONT FALL FOR IT!

Im contacting The BBB, and i got a lawyer involved because clearly this isnt 100% human hair like they say it is. All i wanted was replacement hair since i thought this could be a bad batch. But since they don't want to own up to this i think a class action might have to be done.

UPDATE! I Got an email from them, they want to GIVE ME A 30$ REFUND BUT I HAVE TO DELETE MY REVIEW FIRST! SMH.
30 dollars for $316.00 hair. Really? I hope your hair is really 100% human since I'm sending it off to get tested.

Money back NEVER

Sent me hair extensions looked nothing like color in photos... put hair right back in box and mailed out next day... will not refund 151.00, nothing. They try and say not returned same condition, this is fraud, scam for money. Don't expect a refund at any condition

SCAMMERS!

I have been purchasing Zala extensions for years. I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on their extensions. The last couple of times I have ordered from them have been terrible. I got a partial refund for a really crummy set they sent me last year and I thought maybe it was just a fluke. I decided to order another set, because they are one of the only companies who have Afterpay and I had some zaladollars. I had INSTANT regret when I received them. They are SO thin, even though I ordered the thickest set they have. They are also NOT human hair. I am a hair extension connoisseur and I know fake hair when I see it. It's almost like a synthetic wig. It has that unmistakable shine that fake hair has. It is thin from the top to the bottom and they have made the wefts skinnier too. I wrote them an e-mail to complain and they said that it's their "new design." What a HORRBILE design. I wish I could give it 0 stars. All they offered me was a 10 percent off discount on my next purchase. There will be NO next purchase. I can get more than 10 percent off just with my zala bucks. This company is a scam and a joke and I wouldn't be surprised if they just got their hair from cheap amazon stores and then upsold them for 1,000 percent profit, because that's exactly what it seems like. I will be telling my entire following about this. I have also attempted to tone previous sets that I have gotten and they WILL NOT hold colour. Do not waste your time. THEY ARE NOT HUMAN HAIR! Don't let these scammers get you! Most of the positive reviews are bots or people that know nothing about extensions.
You can see in the photograph the difference between the quality. The old one is the wider one and they were much thicker and more durable. The new ones are the skinny, barely sewn together ones. Terrible.

Look for the real 'unpaid for' reviews before you buy...

Zala pay people to place good reviews, they remove bad reviews and ignore your concerns. Wish I'd known before I purchased... still waiting for my refund.

Purchased Champagne Blonde and I immediately took them out of the box and could feel the silicone on them and thought that was unusual to begin with because they felt like synthetic.

I needed to tone them as it was advised because it's real hair you could do this. I used Directions hair toner in Silver which is a stain dye so there's no damage to the hair, it is a stain like a purple shampoo so it DOES NOT alter the fibers of the hair or lighten/darken it. Applied that, left it on for 10 minutes, rinsed it gave it a condition, and whatever was coated on the hair prior is now gone and the hairs left feeling very weak and brittle it's already started breaking off from the weft/clips. The toner looked patchy and this is a red flag to me that the hair is NOT 100% Human hair.

It's not an acceptable amount to have spent on extensions this fragile after only one wash. You can see from the photos there's synthetic and string strands through the hair. It's NOT 100% human hair.

I told Zala CS and they essentially accused me of dying the extension using a chemical product. I even said prior that I used a stain dye which DOES NOT penetrate the hair shaft and it's not drying, it acts basically the same as a purple shampoo. The extensions are appalling, I cannot use them, the ends are brittle and split, frizzy and unmanageable. THIS IS NOT THE RESULT of my doing, and I find it quite insulting that Zala continued to deny my concerns by sending me generic templated email responses. The hair was ALREADY damaged and they try to cover it with whatever coating they put on it to make it feel synthetic. Highly advise you DO NOT purchase from them.

Synthetic hair. I wish I saw these reviews before I got scammed

I've been receiving extensions professionally installed for over 6 years. I've even purchased higher quality bundles of hair off of Amazon.

This is clearly synthetic hair. It's only 4 washes in and it's turning into dreads daily and worse when washed. I used a whole bottle of their conditioner and it would not work my fingers through.

They have no customer service number and will stop replying to your emails and do not honor their guarantee.

Do not buy unless you want to pay a super high price for fake synthetic hair that will begin slowly melting as you straighten or curl it.

Human hair should be able to be hit with medium heat on a straightener with no issue. Their customer service is basically telling me not to use styling tools on this "100% human hair"

Why would a company selling human hair tell you that you can't use heated styling tools on it?

I paid $400 for this fake synthetic crap. Trying to get my bank to dispute now.

FAKE

Anyone posting saying "I love this hair" has clearly never had extensions before or you work for the company. ALL of their positive social media reviews are fake profiles, they delete customers who complain on their social media and then they sent me 24" clip in extensions, which I bought two sets... IT WAS FAKE HAIR. They charged 159.99 for one and 149.99 for the other (two purchases within one day).
I was losing a ton of hair after having my daughter so I was trying to have my hair back to as close to normal before the holidays.
I tried to curl the hair and it STRAIGHT MELTED... the company responded and said real hair can "singe" this MELTED and turned into a ink like substance (plastic) smearing on my curler and getting stuck to it. I have the videos and pictures of this happening. DON'T ORDER FROM THEM, THEY ARE A SCAM AND WILL DO NOTHING FOR YOU.
Its too bad I couldnt add my video on here for everyone to see but trust me...

If I could give 0 stars I would.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I am a hairstylist in Utah and purchased 2 packages of wefts from Zala. I didn't wash them for almost a month as I know the benefits of not washing your extensions. When I washed them I used the products I always use as I also have another brand in at shorter lengths that I have had for over 6 months they are 20" the Zala was 24". I used my regular products ie; Redken, Olaplex and It's A 10. I air dried for almost 2 days as I normally do and when I did utilize a curling iron with Sexy Hair heat protect and Amika heat protect I became very concerned as the days have progressed. The hair comes out in clumps, it is dry gets tangled and is awful. My 6 month old extensions from the other company are soft, moveable and aren't getting tangled. I have sent an email asking what we need to do as I understand there are "bad batches" of hair sometimes. NOTHING literally crickets. I am in Utah and their warehouse is here. I am contacting an attorney and the Better Business Bureau. How can you claim hair you are selling is AAAAA quality human, remy hair and it is not. I paid almost $500.00 for this hair and I can't imagine all the other non-knowing individuals who have been scammed by this company claiming their hair is real when it clearly is not. A strand test has confirmed it... I was thinking of selling their hair at my salon and even asked numerous times to their help desk about the hair. Over and over I was assured it was real human hair and they guaranteed. I screen shot all of it thank goodness as well as all the promises of their hair being real. I cannot believe that I fell for this. Since I have found so many other places where there are real human reviews of people going through the same thing as me with Zala. I find it really sad for the people who make this pricey investment to only find they have been scammed. It would have been different if they would have tried to right their wrong or not try to ask a million questions after I brought up to them about their hair failing at what they promised. The blame shifting with me won't work or trying to make it seem as if I caused the issue as I have worn extensions for over almost 20 years. YOU KNOW YOUR HAIR IS NOT GOOD. Sale the hair saying what it is so people can make a choice. Not spend money they work hard for and save to invest to feel good about themselves for a product that is not at all what is promised. As a hairstylist I'd get sued and lose my license for what you are doing.

All good so far

I would not have ordered if I checked here first! However, I did order the human hair seamless clip in extensions in Champagne. The blonde tone is a good match. Out of the box they seem perfect. I have only worn once with no issues. I also purchased the pony tail extension but have not worn yet.
I will update this review if I start to have issues. Based on other reviews I would suggest avoiding this business but my experience has been fine. Even the expedited shipping arrived sooner than expected.

Buyer Beware!

The quality of Zala sew-in wefts is absolute garbage and the company itself is super sketchy and shady. If you leave any sort of negative comment about the quality of their hair on a Zala Instagram post, they delete your comment and/or delete the whole post. But let me start at the beginning. Apologies in advance for how long this is, but this contains a lot of information about the company.

Back at the start of this year, I was researching extensions and came across Zala's website. The colors were a perfect match for my hair and I loved that they had the payment plan option, so I ordered the wholesale bundles (5 bundles for $409). When they arrived, I was so pleased with how thick and high quality they appeared to be. My hairstylist installed them and for the first three weeks they looked gorgeous... then they started to shed like crazy. I don't mean that a few strands here and there would fall out — I mean when I brushed my hair, the hair in my brush would be what you would expect to come out in the course of a whole month or so. I didn't even have the extensions in for a full two months before they started to look old, ragged, and sparse.

I immediately reached out to Zala's customer service to express my alarm and disappointment with the quality. I explained that I knew some shedding would be expected, but as someone who has worn extensions for over a decade this was definitely more than what would be considered "normal" shedding. Since my mother is a hairdresser, I've only ever used professional salon products on my hair and I deep condition with Olaplex no. 3 once or twice a week, and I've never had an experience like this with any other extensions in the past. This was Zala's response, which I've since seen is a typical canned response:
"As for the concern regarding our weave extensions, we are surprised to hear that as these issues you are experiencing are extremely rare and our sets go through strict quality control before being sent to customers.

In order for us to assist further, we kindly ask you to send some photos of the issue so we can inspect this for you. Kindly provide more information on exactly how you are caring for the weave whilst they are in your hair such as products used, heat styling temp, have they been toned/dyed, along with how often you wash them."

You're surprised to hear these issues and they're rare? That's odd, because this is a common complaint that I've seen in other reviews now. I responded back with photos of what they looked like when I got them installed versus what they looked like ~2 months later, along with a very detailed description of how I care for my hair and the professional products I use. I stressed again that I know how to care for extensions since I've worn them for so long, that the extensions were never dyed nor styled with heat higher than 300°, and yes, I'd sealed the wefts with Dritz Sealant. Zala then told me that "in order to forward my inquiry onto management," I needed to provide a photo of the product barcode as well as answer a laundry list of questions:

1. How long had you waited to wash your hair, after having the weave in extensions applied?
2. How do you care for your weave in extensions whilst you sleep?
3. How often do you swim in your weave in extensions?
4. What sealant was used on the weave to ensure no fraying where you cut the weft?
5. Is this your first experience with our weave in range?
6. What other brands of weave in hair extensions have you used?
7. The business/salon name along with the name of the hairdresser who applied your weave in extensions.
8. The ABN/cosmetologist license of the person/salon that applied your extensions.
9. The contact details of the business who applied your extensions - Number/Email.

I was told to answer these questions with short and concise responses rather than the detailed paragraphs I was sending before. I personally found these questions to be ridiculous considering I had provided photos and video for proof of the poor quality of hair and already spent time explaining to them how I cared for everything, but I answered them anyway. Then... nothing. I never heard back from Zala. If I commented on one of their Instagram posts, it was deleted. Crickets from them.

Flash forward to July. The earlier extensions had long since been taken out and discarded. My previous stylist moved to Florida during the pandemic, so I found a new one and had him install more Zala hair towards the end of July since I still had so much hair left from the bundles purchased. I DRENCHED the wefts with Dritz sealant to try to avoid the same issue as before, and it seemed like it worked for a bit... but now, here we are on September 6, not even two months after the install, and the hair has once again been shedding like crazy. The volume of each sewn in weft is half of what it used to be. I see from a response to a review on here that the company, "allows for 3-5% shedding with our sets, due to any hairs that have not ...

Their customer service is atrocious and embarrassing

Just as the many customers have already stated they are HORRIBLE. I have ordered from them 3 times. 2 of the 3 times have been negative and extremely frustrated. They are rude and sadly do not understand the importance of customer service.

Example: I paid for expedited shipping which indicates delivery in 2-3 days. It's now been a week with no delivery of the products I ordered. I was told in writing work with the post office. ARE YOU SERIOUS. This is certainly not a response Glam seamless or Amazon or any other reputable company who care about their customers would provide.
Fine I respond then please just reimburse me for the expedited shipping. I was told to reach out when I receive my order. Again I say IS THIS ACTUALLY THEIR RESPONSE. Hello That's the problem. I'm not receiving my order. In today's current situation one would assume that companies would rather maintain customers, especially after ordering 3 times, then pushing them to other companies.
PS. Their extensions get sooo knotty even with extremely infrequent use.
In summary, I will never use them again and I strongly urge you to consider another company even if a bit more expensive rather then risk the frustration of dealing with them. I'm absolutely disgusted.

Follow up they said a manager has contacted me and that's a lie. They have yet to resolve this.
